June Lloyd

June Jewel Lloyd, age 91 of Oxford passed away peacefully Sunday, November 19, 2017 at Tivoli in Portage. June was born in Chicago on February 28, 1926 to Arthur and Ida (Sleep) Wilson. She married Clyde Sorenson and they later divorced; she married Edward "Ted" Lloyd at the Little Brown Church in Iowa on August 16, 1955; Ted preceded June in death on February 23, 2001. June enjoyed playing cards and bingo. She was a longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church of Oxford where served on the Ladies Aid and as supervisor of the Sunday School Program for many years. June was also a member and past president of the Oxford VFW Auxiliary since 1953. Her service to her community, church and family will be greatly missed. June is survived by three children: Alice Pflum of Oxford, Bonnie (Andy) Schultz of Lyndon Station and Donald (Sue) Lloyd of Oxford as well as eight grandchildren: Mary, Bridgette, Grant, Jeramiah, Sara (Nathan), Chad (Sara), Holly (Matt) and Christina. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren and two on the way and many extended family members. In addition to her parents and husband, June is also preceded in death by her daughter, Cindy Fowler, three sisters and three brothers. A funeral service for June Lloyd will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at the First Presbyterian Church in Oxford. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the hour of service at the church. Pastor Brenda Pulver will preside and following the traditional service June will be cremated. Private family inurnment will take place at the Oxford Village Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the First Presbyterian Church of Oxford, 210 S.
