Sherian Brantmeier

Sherian Lou Brantmeier, age 72 of Montello passed away Sunday morning, August 21, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family. Sherian was born in Madison on April 26, 1944 to Morton and Sylvia (Lovicott) Johnson. She graduated from Poynette High School and married Lester Brantmeier in Horicon at St. Stephen's Lutheran Church on October 7, 1972. Together they were blessed with six children. Sherian worked several factory jobs until she and Lester came to Montello in 1999 and purchased the Kozy Rest Motel. They owned and operated the motel for 11 years and finally retired in 2010. Sherian enjoyed quilting and spending time in her flower garden. She attended the Buffalo Community Bible Church and appreciated her church family. She will be greatly missed. Sherian leaves behind a family that she dearly loved, her husband of almost 44 years, Lester and children: Ron (Emily) of Horicon, Brenda of Ripon, Jeff (Ann) of Mayville, Heidi of Wisconsin Rapids, Ray (Rhonda) of Neenah and Darrin (Wendy) of Florida. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren: Tony (Mel), Lindsey (Bryce), Jessica, Cassondra, Matthew, Mallory, Alicia, Ian, Nathan, Natalie, Noah, Samantha and Natassia as well as 5 great-grandchildren. Sherian is further survived by her brothers: Gary (Diane) Johnson, John Johnson and sister, Diane Bruckner as well as her church family and her beloved canine companion, Panda. Sherian is preceded in death by her parents and infant twin granddaughters. She is also preceded in death by her brother-in-law, John. A memorial service for Sherian will be held on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Buffalo Community Bible Church, town of Buffalo. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. Private family inurnment will take place at a later date at Oak Lawn Cemetery, town of Buffalo, Marquette County. In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to the family for a memorial that will be established in Sherian's name.
