Adelaide Eggleston

Adelaide Elizabeth Eggleston, age 85 of Montello passed away Monday, December 26, 2016 at Select Specialty Hospital in Madison. Adelaide was born in Portage to Adney and Laura (Skinner) Martin on January 2, 1931. She married Leon Eggleston on October 23, 1948 in Portage and they were blessed with seven children. Adelaide enjoyed quilting as well as upholstering and clock repair. She will be remembered for her rummage saling. Adelaide was a private person and she enjoyed spending time with her family. Adelaide is survived by her husband of 68 years, Leon and six children: Dennis (Claire) of Sun Prairie, Doris (Gary) Attoe of Hortonville, Diana (Dan) Campbell of Montello, Doreen (Tony) Bergh of Endeavor, Dale (Deena) of Westfield and Darrin of Montello. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Adelaide is preceded in death by her parents, son, Douglas and a great-granddaughter. Private family services will be held at a later date.
