Alfred Kottka

Alfred Elmer Kottka, age 93 of Portage and formerly of Westfield passed away Sunday morning, April 24, 2016 with his loving wife by his side at the Heritage House in Portage. Alfred was born at home on the family farm in Westfield to Edward and Edna (Falbe) Kottka on November 19, 1922. He attended school in Westfield until returning to the family farm at a young age. He married Betty June Wright on March 10, 1945 in Beaver Dam and together they were blessed with two children. Alfred is survived by his wife of 71 years, Betty and one daughter, Linda (Jeff) Glaser of Montello as well as four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and many friends. Alfred is preceded in death by his parents, step-father, Walter Gramse, son, William "Billy" and brothers: Henry and Donald as well as other extended family members. Private family services with inurnment at Westfield East Cemetery will be held at a later date.
