Allison Starrine

Allison "Al" Starrine, age 98 of Montello passed away peacefully, Friday evening, September 13, 2013 at the Montello Care Center. Al was born in Milwaukee to Kenneth and Irene (Lambrecht) Starrine on August 5, 1915. He attended Washington High School in Milwaukee and furthered his education at Franklin University in Washington D.C. Following college, Al worked as an FBI agent and later for the City of Milwaukee in the Tax Assessor's Office. On July 21, 1962 he married Norma Johnson at the Pentecost Evangelical Church in Milwaukee and it wasn't until 2001 that they moved to Montello. Al was an avid hunter and fisherman and while his health allowed, he and Norma traveled the country and spent 28 winters in Texas. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Packwaukee.

Survivors include: his wife of 51 years, Norma and two children: Michael of Wautoma and Priscilla of Montello, step-daughter, Beverly Hanzel of Houston, TX, two grandchildren: Amanda and Daniel as well as step-granddaughter, Sara. Al is further survived by two great-granddaughters: Brook and Bailey as well as his sister, Jeanette Heim. Al is preceded in death by his parents. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Packwaukee. Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. at the Crawford Funeral Home in Montello and again on Wednesday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service. Pastor Robert Busse will officiate and burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday at Valhalla Cemetery in Milwaukee. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Trinity Lutheran Church, 418 Chestnut Street, Packwaukee.
