Arlin Radichel

Arlin Carl Radichel, age 84 of Montello passed away Sunday afternoon, November 15, 2015 at Berlin Memorial Hospital in Berlin. Arlin was born on November 24, 1930 in West Bloomfield, rural Waushara County, WI to Fred and Alma (Loerke) Radichel. He served his country during the Korean War as a member of the United States Army and after returning from service he married Dorothy Huebner at St. John's Lutheran Church in Merton, Wisconsin on June 16, 1956. Arlin retired after 35 years of faithful employment as a machinist with Stolpher Industries in Menominee Falls. In 1992 he and Dorothy moved to Montello; she preceded him in death on December 4, 2002.

Arlin was an avid outdoorsman, especially fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed playing bingo, card games at the Legion Post and cheering on his beloved Packers and Brewers. Arlin was a member of The People's Church of Montello and left an unforgettable mark on those he met, he will be greatly missed. Arlin is survived by his son, Daniel of Hartland and honorary daughter, Joann (David) Emmer also of Hartland as well as honorary grandchildren: Dawn (Keith), Heidi and Matthew and honorary great-grandsons: Caleb and Carter. He is further survived by nieces, nephews and many friends. Arlin is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Dorothy, brother, Arno and sister, Merna. A funeral service for Arlin will be held on Friday November 20, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. at The People's Church. Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until the hour of service. Pastor Mark Hensley will preside and burial with full military honors will follow the service at the Montello City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to The People's Church, 3045 15th Road, Montello, WI 53949.
