Audrey Kuenn

Audrey L. Kuenn, age 85 of Montello (formerly of Milwaukee) went to her heavenly home, Thursday morning, August 30, 2012 from the Montello Care Center. Audrey was born on November 20, 1926 in Milwaukee to Earl and Anna (Lemke) Bingaman. She graduated from Girls' Tech in 1944 and later married Gordon Kuenn on April 20, 1946. They lived in Milwaukee until 1978 at which time they moved to Princeton. Audrey worked as the cook at Kuenn's Korner until 1998 when she and Gordon moved to the farm in rural Montello. Audrey loved her family very much and enjoyed cooking. She also enjoyed traveling with Gordon, especially to the 4th Marine Division reunions. Her faith in Jesus her Savior was important in everything she did. She is still loved by her family and will always be missed. Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Gordon and four children: James (Kathleen) of Milwaukee, Donald of Montello, Barbara Ann (Rev. Roy) Rose of Green Bay and Thomas (Donna) of Princeton. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Audrey is further survived by two sisters, Joyce and Sharon as well as many nieces, nephews and beloved cousins from the Chilton area. Audrey is preceded in death by her parents and step-father, Don Woodkey, daughter-in-law, Halley, as well as other family members from the Chilton and Milwaukee areas. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Montello. There will be no visitation. Pastor Pete Zietlow will preside and private family burial will take place at Valhalla Memorial Park, Milwaukee. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. John's Lutheran Little Lambs Learning Center, 313 E. Montello Street, Montello 53949.
