Beth Johnson

In His infinite wisdom and perfect love, the Lord God carried our Mom, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Great Great Grandmother from this world to Himself in the glory of heaven at the age of 95 years on Sunday, June 8, 2025. By the grace of God she remained a faithful and active member of St. John Lutheran Church in Montello.

Beth was born September 27, 1929, daughter of Paul and Maye (Jones) Klimke. God made her His own through the blessing of Holy Baptism on December 1, 1929. She made her confirmation vow on May 24, 1942 at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Packwaukee. Beth married Robert Johnson on November 28, 1946 at the Lutheran Church in Harrisville. Their marriage had a difficult beginning when their first two sons died. Then they were blessed with 8 children. Robert preceded Beth in death in 2003

They were also blessed with 25 grandchildren, 57 great grandchildren and 6 ½ great-great grandchildren. She loved them all and never missed a Happy Birthday wish to any of them. Throughout our lives, she prayed with us and for us all trusting in her Savior to hear and answer her prayers.

Beth is survived by her children: Gary (Orlene) Johnson, Melvin (Brenda) Johnson, Diane (Rex) Rhode, Roberta Davison, Mary (Frank) Quade, Ann (Steve) Davison, and

Jennifer (Mike) Beahm and son-in-law, Darrell Hodgkins. She is also survived by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren along with her sister, Ione Murray, sister-in-law, Marie Johnson and many nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

Beth is preceded in death by her husband, their first two infant sons, daughter, Rae Lynn Hodgkins, great-granddaughter, Hadassah Noel Sigrist, sister, Arloweigne (Robert) Strohbusch, brothers: Arnold (Arleen) Klimke and Kenneth (Gladys) Klimke, brother-in-law, Dr. Frank Murray, sisters-in-law: Ruby (Carl) Meyer; Grace (Tony) Thalacker and brother-in-law, Melvin Johnson.

A funeral service for Beth Johnson will be held on Thursday, June 12, 2025 at 11:00 AM at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Montello. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until the hour of service. Until the Day of Resurrection, her body will be laid to rest with her husband at the Eastside Cemetery in Montello immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to St. John’s Lutheran Church, 313 E. Montello Street, Montello, WI 53949.
