Beverly Gericke

Beverly “Bev” Sue Gericke , age 72 of Oxford passed away Thursday, December 9, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family.  Bev was born in Sun Prairie on July 30, 1949 to Leo and Elizabeth (Daggett) Herfel.  She was a member of the graduating class of 1967 from Sun Prairie School.  Bev lived and worked in the Madison area, marrying Richard “Rick” Gericke in May of 2000.  In that same year, they moved to Oxford and became owners of R Place in Oxford.

Bev was a fun-loving and hard-working person.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and always looked forward to traveling and experiencing new things.  Bev’s greatest titles were mom and grandma; she cherished the time she got to spend with her grandchildren.  She will be remembered for her loving and caring nature.

Bev leaves behind her husband of 21 years, Rick and two sons: Gordon (Dawn) Bahler of Madison and Tim Bahler of Oxford as well as seven grandchildren.  She is also survived by her sister, Barb (Ron) Johnson and brother, Jim (Judy) Longfield as well as other extended family members.

Bev is preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Angela Kaltenberg.

A Celebration of Bev’s Life will be held from 1:00 until 5:00 PM on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Generations Bar in Oxford.
