Robert “Bob” Dennis Vohland, age 76 of Oxford passed away Saturday, April 20, 2024 at his home with his wife by his side. Bob was born in Milwaukee on January 19, 1948 to Ernest and Leone (Schmidt) Vohland and came to Montello at an early age. He graduated from Montello High School in 1966 and attended Carroll College. Bob worked as a baker in Madison before returning home to the family business, Leone’s Bakery in Montello. Following his time as a baker, he worked at Brakebush Bros, retiring after 30 years of faithful employment.
Bob married Debbie (Kral) Drew on June 28, 1995 in Cumberland Gap, Tennessee. He enjoyed camping, long convertible rides and the occasional trip to the casino. Family was important to Bob, especially his grandchildren and he looked forward to spending time with them and sharing the bread he baked. He will be remembered for his love of family, vast knowledge and special sense of humor.
Bob is survived by his wife of 28 years, Debbie and two children: Robin (Shaun) Murphy of Ridgeway and Eric Drew of Portage as well as four very important grandchildren: Bailey and Aiden Murphy and Caleb and Olivia Drew. He is also survived by his sister, Shirley Dagner of Montello and her three daughters: Robin (Jim) York, Tammy (Jim) Hackbart and Cindy (Tom) Bloom as well as his sister-in-law, Dawn (David) Kral-Kueter of Wheat Ridge, Colorado along with other extended family members.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents, in-laws: Allen and Martha Kral, daughter, Jessica Vohland and two brothers-in-law: Kerry Dagner and Dan Kral.
Honoring Bob’s wishes, private services for his family will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Packwaukee and he will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery, Town of Packwaukee.
