Carol Ann Laursen, age 68 of Montello passed away unexpectedly Sunday, June 16, 2024 at her home. Carol was born in Beloit on February 3, 1956 to Lauritz and Lillian (Woolhiser) Laursen. She graduated from Montello High School in 1974. Carol worked various jobs throughout her career, the last of her jobs was at Brakebush Brothers in Westfield as a custodial assistant. She loved pushing her cleaning cart down the hallway talking and smiling at all the people she met along the way pulling on her ear lobe playing the part of Carol Burnett.
In her spare time, Carol enjoyed taking care of her home, puzzles, playing games and having long phone conversations with family and friends.
Carol is survived by her very special friend, Jerry Ernst of Portage and siblings: Elsie Erickson of South Beloit, IL, Mary Kay (Gary) vonAllmen of Lake Ozarks, MO, Linda (Rick) Stimps of Packwaukee and Peter Laursen of Lakeside, CA. She is also survived by her goddaughter, Jennifer Longua, sister-in-law, Nancy Laursen and many nieces and nephews.
Carol is preceded in death by her parents, siblings: John Laursen, LeRoy “Butch” (Phyllis) Laursen, Dorothy (Frank) Waymire and brother-in-law, Robert Erickson.
A memorial service for Carol Laursen will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Packwaukee. Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until the hour of service. Rev. Larry Sheppard will preside and inurnment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to the family for a memorial that will be established in Carol’s name.
