Carrol Charles Krueger, age 82 of Montello (formerly of Waukesha) passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at Aspirus Divine Savior Hospital in Portage. Carrol was born in West Bend on February 6, 1940 to Michael and Clara (Bauman) Krueger. He graduated from Mukwonago High School in 1958 and married Sharon Merath. Together they lived and worked in the Waukesha area while raising their daughter. Sharon preceded Carrol in death and he married Annabel (Krinkey) Kenitz in 2001. Carrol was a machinist for Wisconsin Centrifugal in Waukesha for 38 years until he retired in 1999. He loved to travel, camp, took pride in his lawn and was also an avid fisherman.
Carrol leaves behind his wife, Annabel, daughter, Carol Lynn (Jeff) Klimas of Germantown, three grandsons: Adam (Danielle), Shawn (Miranda) and Kent as well as four great-grandchildren: Oliver, Kayden, Rhett and Sloane. He is also survived by seven stepchildren: Rex (Barb) Kenitz, Rick (Elizabeth) Kenitz, Patty (Mark) Wegenke, Tina (Joe) Schoebel, Walter (Kathy) Kenitz, Sally (Alan) Millin and Kelly (Glenn Wilks) Kenitz. Carrol is further survived by many step-grandchildren, cousins, other extended family members and many friends.
Carrol is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Sharon, two stillborn children: John and Jacqueline as well as four siblings: Lee (Pat), Harry (Judy), Margaret, Ed (Lucille).
A memorial service for Carrol Krueger will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Crawford Funeral Home in Montello. Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until the hour of service. Pastor Brenda Pulver will officiate and inurnment will take place at a later date at Prairie Home Cemetery in Waukesha.
