David Scott Diedrich, age 60 of Montello (Lake Puckaway) passed away Friday, September 8, 2023.  David was born in Marshfield on March 1, 1963 to Norbert and Nettie Mae (Bunting) Diedrich.  He grew up in Colby and graduated from Colby High School.  He served his country as a member of United States Army Reserves as well as the active Army.  

Dave enjoyed working with his hands, he built mini bikes, 3 wheelers and was an excellent carpenter. He loved music and art and was a very talented artist, often giving drawings as gifts. He enjoyed being outdoors, especially his mini bike rides with Kitty, the Chihuahua he adored. Dave could always be counted on to crack a joke or add a witty comment into any conversation. He loved fiercely, and cherished time spent with those he loved.

David leaves behind his wife, Leann, children: Kacheri Smith, Hebert Yanke, Deitz "Steven" (Amy) Baker and Richard (Dominique) Yanke as well as grandchildren: Payton, Cody, Kevin, Mattea, Sabrina, Elizabeth, Amber, Jessica, Mark and Emily, and many more.  He is also survived by great-grandson, Emersyn, brothers: Robert (Marcia) and Thomas (Terri) and sisters: Sandy (David) Witt and Sue (Scott) Choitz as well as other extended family members.

David is preceded in death by his parents, brother, James and former-wife, Pamela Smith. 

A Celebration of David’s Life will be held on Saturday, September 30th at 2:00 PM at N3504 W. Tomahawk Trail, Montello.
