Debra “Debbie” Lynn Boettcher, age 61 of Grand Marsh (formerly of Milwaukee) passed away with her husband by her side on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at her home. Debbie was born in Milwaukee on July 23, 1962 to Harold and Mary (Pavletic) Segerson. She graduated from Wauwatosa West High School in 1980 and married David Boettcher on June 16, 2001. Debbie was employed at K-Mart for 23 years as a manager and finished her career as a claims specialist for Dental Associates; she made many lifelong friendships at both places. She and David visited the Jordan Lake Area regularly for many years, but it was just recently that they made the area their permanent home.
Debbie was an avid reader, she loved to travel, especially up north and always looked forward to going on a motorcycle ride. She was a dog lover and enjoyed spending time with her family. Debbie will be remembered for her unconditional love, her dedication to anything she put her mind to and always making sure everyone is taken care of before she took care of herself.
Debbie is survived by her husband of 22 years, David and two children: Michael Boettcher and Ashley Weston as well as two grandchildren: Braiden and Aubrey. She is also survived by her sister, Cindy Roeske, aunt, Ruthie Groholski as well as nieces and nephews: Kurt (Erin) Roeske, Kristen (Gregg) Mekka and Samantha (Dan) Dahlke. Debbie is further survived by great-nieces and great-nephews: Nick Mekka, Kaylie Mekka and Noah Dahlke along with her canine companion, Boomer.
Debbie is preceded in death by her parents, sister, Margie Gott and dog, Bucky.
Honoring Debbie’s wishes, private family services will be held and she will be inurned at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Wauwatosa.
