Dolores Bethke

Dolores Wayva Bethke, age 89 of Montello passed away early Saturday morning, July 26, 2014 at the Barrett House in Markesan. Dolores was born in Germania to Edward and Nathalie (Clocksene) Bandt on March 9, 1925. She graduated from Neshkoro High School in 1942 and married Martin Bethke on April 13, 1946 in Racine. Dolores was a stay at home mother while her children were young while also helping Martin on the farm. She later worked at Handcraft, Green Giant and the Green Lake Center. She was a loving and caring servant to all that came into her life. Dolores freely gave of herself to help others in any way that she could, putting the needs of others before her own. Dolores leaves behind her husband of 68 years, Martin and three children: Christine Bethke of Madison, Marc (Bobbie) of Juneau and Carla (Jeffrey) Barry of Lake Geneva as well as ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by three brothers: Everette (Evangeline), DeForest and Donald (Geraldine). Dolores is preceded in death by her parents and her sister-in-law, Joyce. A funeral service for Dolores will be held on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Crawford Funeral Home in Montello. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of service. Pastor Donald Wedel will preside and burial will follow at the Princeton City Cemetery.
