Donna Lind

Donna Claire Lind, age 74 of Montello passed away Monday, July 1, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family. Donna was born in Chicago on October 4, 1949 to Thomas and Margaret (Meinert) Bradley. She graduated from Warren Township High School in Gurnee, IL in 1968 and was united in marriage to William “Bill” Lind on March 8, 1969 in Grays Lake, IL. Together they were blessed with three daughters. Donna and Bill came to Montello in 1970; she worked alongside her husband for many years owning and operating Holliday Shopping Center in Montello for over 50 years. Bill preceded Donna in death on December 20, 2022.

Donna's passion was her flower gardens. She was in the Marquette County Garden Walk in 2014 and 2019 to show off her magnificent gardens. Donna also was a dog lover; she adopted all the perfect Shepherds over her lifetime including her sweet Izabella of 15 years by her side. She also was an extremely talented scrapbooker during her winter down time from gardening. Donna enjoyed family time and her family home of 54 years.

Donna is survived by three daughters: Rhonda (Pat) Hughes of Montello, Nicole (Dwight) Herrick of Stanton, IA and Sarah (Lyle Schmidtke) Lind of Montello as well as six grandchildren: Zach (April) Hughes, Brittany (Matt) Zuelke and Rayanna, Amber, Matthew and Nicholas Herrick. She is also survived by great-grandson, Everett Hughes and great-granddaughter, Claire Zuelke. Donna is further survived by her siblings: Dave (Terri) Bradley, Laura (Randy) Link and Pat (Ann) Bradley, sister-in-law, Marcia Kulpa and brother-in-law, Herb (Terri) Lind along with dear friends, Randy and Karen Lemcke and other extended family members.

Donna is preceded in death by her parents, husband and siblings: Paula, Sheila and Mike. 

A memorial visitation for Donna Lind will be held on Sunday, July 14, 2024 from 1:00 until 4:00 PM at the Crawford Funeral Home in Montello. Honoring Donna’s wishes, there will be no formal service. In lieu of flowers, donations in Donna’s memory are preferred to the Little Orphans Animal Rescue, 15 West St, Montello, WI 53949.
