Eleanore Schielka

Eleanore Estell Schielka (nee Lizak), age 81 of Montello and formerly of Chicago passed away Monday afternoon, January 5, 2015 at UW Hospital in Madison. Eleanore was born in Chicago on May 12, 1933. She married John Schielka at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Chicago on January 8, 1955 and together they owned and operated Schielka Funeral Home until retiring to Montello in 1981. John preceded Eleanore in death on February 23, 2004. Eleanore is survived by her daughter, Judith Schielka of Montello and two sons: Joseph of Montello and Jeff of Ypsilanti, MI as well as her grandson, Luke Schielka. She is also survived by other family members and many dear friends. Eleanore is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, John Jr. and her sister, Lorraine Soszynski.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 9, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 277 E. Montello Street, Montello, WI 53949. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Crawford Funeral Home of Montello and again at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service. Father Tim Renz will officiate and burial will follow at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery, town of Montello.
