Genevieve Dufour

Genevieve "Genna" Claire Dufour, age 28 of Montello passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, October 3, 2017. Genna was born on May 18, 1989 at Berlin Memorial Hospital, Green Lake County, Wisconsin to Richard and Shelley (Freitag) Dufour. She was a member of the Montello High School Class of 2007 and life-long member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Montello. Genna was currently living at the Ross Adult Family Home in Fall River and attended Green Valley Enterprises for individuals with disabilities. She lived her life bravely with a physical disability since birth. Genna is survived by her parents, Richard and Shelley of Montello, maternal grandmother, Geraldine Freitag of Montello as well as aunts and uncles: Scott (Cher) Freitag, Sally Freitag, Stacy Freitag, Shawn (special friend, Amy) Freitag, D. Robert (Mary) Dufour and Christine (James) Jensen. She is also survived by many cousins and friends. Genevieve is preceded in death by maternal grandfather, Donald S. Freitag, paternal grandparents, Robert and Claire Dufour as well as maternal great-grandmother, Genevieve (Rygiewicz) Kusick Fuhrmann and maternal great-grandparents, Paul and Dorothy Freitag. A Mass of Christian Burial for Genevieve Dufour will be held on Monday, October 9, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Montello. Visitation will be held on Sunday at the Crawford Funeral Home in Montello from 2:00 until 4:30 PM at which time a prayer service will begin. Visitation will be held again on Monday from 9:30 until 10:45 AM at the church. Father James McNamee will preside and burial will follow at the Montello City Cemetery. Following the committal, the family would like to invite everyone back to church for a luncheon and fellowship.
