Gregory Wianecki

November 12, 1925 — August 28, 2015

Gregory "Doc" Jerome Wianecki of Montello passed away Friday morning, August 28, 2015 at the Berlin Memorial Hospital at the age of 89. Gregory was born on the family's homesteaded farm in the town of Shields, Marquette County and it was on that very farm that he continued farming most of his life with his wife and family. He married Louise Novak on November 30th of 1947 at St. John's Catholic Church in Princeton. He and Louise were blessed with five children; Louise preceded him in death on March 3, 2006. He later worked at Montello Products for over twenty years in the machine shop. Gregory was a life-long member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Montello.

As Heaven receives this angel, may his tin can spinners spin on.

Survivors include his daughter, Kathryn (Dennis) Correll of Punta Gorda, Florida, and sons: Norbert (Dawn), Stephen (Patty) and Philip (Donna) all of Princeton. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. Gregory is further survived by his siblings: Mary Atkinson of Montello, Vincent Wianecki of Endeavor as well as his sister-in-law, Geraldine Bednarek of Montello and very special friend Irene Fritsche of Montello.

Gregory is preceded in death by his parents, Valentine and Frances, wife, Louise, daughter, Linda, grandsons: Adam Wianecki and Michael Correll and siblings: Sylvester, Albert, Angela and Marcella.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Gregory will be held on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Montello. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of service. Father Tim Renz will preside and burial will follow the service at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery, town of Montello. In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred for a memorial that is being established in Gregory's name.
