Jean Chowaniec of Oxford WI passed away peacefully on July 4, 2026.
Jean was born on June 7, 1941 to Raymond and Vivian Aitchison in Milwaukee, WI. She married James Chowaniec October 26, 1963.
She worked at Lowell Elementary School in Waukesha, WI as a school aide. Jean was a dog lover and enjoyed shopping and playing bingo. James and Jean moved to Oxford WI in 2005.
She is survived by her husband James. Children James Jr (Tammi) of Dousman, WI, Todd and Kelly of Waukesha, WI and Chris (Jewels) of Hixson, TN. Grandchildren Craig, Cody, Casey, Cameron, Krystal and Kaitlyn. Great grandchild Emberlyn Mae (daughter of Kaitlyn). Sister to Lynn (Dale) Heine of Mukwonago, WI and Neal (Peg) Aitchison of Pewaukee, Wisconsin.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Scott, sister Dawn and daughter-in-law Jill.
Per Jean’s wishes no services will be held.
