Jo 'Josephine' Lepka, age 94, of Harrisville passed away Thursday evening July 8, 2010 at her home. She was born on October 22, 1915 in Louka, Czechoslovakia to John and Josephine (Kolar) Novotny and married Timothy Lepka in April of 1942; he preceded her death in 1990. Jo was a very caring and resilient individual. She was a devoted member of the Catholic faith who used her spirituality to guide her through the many hardships she endured throughout her life. Jo loved her family and enjoyed spending as much time with them as possible. She leaves behind four sons: Vito of Harrisville, Peter (Sabina) of Freeport, IL, Paul of Freeport, IL, and George (Margaret) of Harrisville. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. Preceding Jo in death are her parents, husband, one infant daughter, Paula, and great-granddaughter, Alexes. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday July 12, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Montello. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service. Father Michael Richel will officiate and burial will follow at St. John's Catholic Cemetery, Montello.
