Joann Arndt

Joann Arndt, age 48 of Westfield passed away peacefully on Friday, October 13, 2023 at her home.  Joann was born in Brighton, Colorado on May 21, 1975 to Telesforo and Maria (Vega) Magana.  She attended Brighton High School and later married Richard “Rick” Arndt in Brighton on February 3, 2000.  Together they lived in Albuquerque, NM while raising their family and in 2013, they moved to Westfield.  

Joann was a strong-willed and independent woman who’s loyalty ran deep for those she loved. She loved God and her family more than anything.  Joann enjoyed spending time with her daughters and husband, watching movies and playing with their dogs. Joann was known for her contagious smile, laugh and charismatic personality, that will not be forgotten.

Joann leaves behind her husband of 23 years, Rick and three children:  Brandon Garcia and Micaela Arndt both of Albuquerque, NM and Jade Arndt of Westfield.  She is also survived by her mother, Maria Magana, four siblings: Rigo (Carmen) Magana, Alvaro (Amy) Magana, Maricella (Alex) Vigil and Norma (David) Guajardo as well as other extended family members and friends.  Joann is preceded in death by her father.

A Celebration of Joann’s Life is being planned for a later date.
