Joanne Raimer

Joanne Kay Raimer, age 72 of Montello passed away Friday, August 7, 2026 with her husband by her side at her home. Joanne was born in Madison on January 6, 1954 to Wayne and Constance (Furey) Gibson. She graduated from LaFollette High School in Madison in 1972. Joanne spent most of her working career in the banking industry. She was united in marriage to Brian Raimer in Maui, Hawaii on September 21, 2000.

Joanne was an avid gardener and especially loved orchids. She enjoyed reading, traveling, cooking and was known as an excellent baker. One of Joanne’s proudest title’s was grandma, she thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and was their biggest cheerleader. Anyone who knew her knows how much she loved dogs, especially her beloved, canine companion, Sofi. Joanne will be remembered as an amazing wife, mom, grandma, sister, daughter, aunt and friend.

Joanne leaves behind her husband, Brian, daughter, Heather (Nefi) Penney of Sheboygan and seven very special grandchildren: Joshua, Hailee, Jaida, Isaiah, Amiyah, Elijah and Alexander. She is also survived by her sister, Karen Miller of Black Earth and brother, Kenneth (Patty) Gibson of Madison along with several nieces and nephews.

Joanne is preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law, Robert Miller.

A Celebration of Joanne's Life is being planned for a later date.
