Karen Pelot

Karen Ann Pelot, age 74 of Montello passed away Friday, September 11, 2026 at Our House Assisted Living in Portage. Karen was born in Fond du Lac on August 27, 1952 to John and Catherine (Roth) Ring. She was raised in Fond du Lac and following high school moved to Baraboo and eventually settled in Montello. She worked for many years for the Marquette County Sheriff’s Department. Karen was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Packwaukee. She was an avid Packers fan and in her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, crafting and sewing. Karen will be remembered for her witty sense of humor.

Karen is survived by two children: Seth (Richael) Pelot and Anna Pelot as well as two grandchildren: Nathan and Enya, two great-grandchildren: Oliver and Evelyn and several siblings. Karen is also survived by her female feline companion, Batman.

Karen is preceded in death by her parents, son, Nathan and one brother.
