Leo Marcucci

Montello

Leo “Lee” F. Marcucci, age 94 of Montello passed away Sunday, January 28, 2024 at the Residences on Forest Lane in Montello.  Lee was born in Chicago on May 7, 1929 to Andrew and Mite (Salvatori) Marcucci.  He graduated from Schurz High School and went on to proudly serve his country as a member of the United States Army at the end of World War II as well as the beginning of the Korean War.  Lee married Barbara Sullivan and together they had three children and later divorced.   

Lee had a long career as a truck driver and was a dedicated member of the Teamsters Union for 35 years.  He enjoyed photography and music, particularly jazz.   Lee also loved working with his hands and enjoyed working on sporty cars and always looked forward to road-tripping to visit family and friends.  He will be deeply missed and remembered as a caring and loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.

Lee is survived by three children:   Michael (Joann) Marcucci, Patti (Brian Pollmiller) Klinge and Marina Marcucci and grandchildren: Lauren Klinge-Stout, Meghan (Ryan) Clark, Sarah Marcucci, Casey (Jessica) Klinge, Holly Cuello, D.J. (Kaitlin) Klinge, Sean (Megan) Marcucci.  Siblings: Theresa Marcucci and Victor (Barbara) Marcucci. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren along with other extended family members, and dear companion of 25 years, Irene Beers.

 Lee is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Bruna Marcucci.

Leo "Lee" Marcucci will be inurned at the Montello City Cemetery with full military honors on Friday, July 19, 2024 at 10:00 AM.  In memory of Lee, please donate to Little Orphan’s Animal Rescue, P.O. Box 154, Montello, WI 53949.
