Leonard Nicholas Keuler, age 95 of Montello (formerly of Milwaukee) passed away Thursday, September 14, 2023 at St. Clare Hospital in Baraboo. Leonard was born in Stockbridge on February 13, 1928 to Nicholas and Florence (Mangan) Keuler and graduated from Chilton High School in 1946. He moved to Milwaukee to find work and married Laverne Bierman at St. Casmir’s Catholic Church in Milwaukee on June 24, 1950. Together they lived and worked in the Milwaukee area while raising their four children; Laverne preceded Leonard in death on January 10, 2011.
Leonard worked as a die setter at Briggs and Stratton for 38 years, retiring in 1988. He enjoyed playing his harmonica and watching the Brewers and Packers. He will be greatly missed.
Leonard is survived by four children: Gary (Sandy) of Georgia, Karen (Stephen) Torbeck of Montello, Carol (Donald) McInnes of Menomonee Falls and Steven (Nancy) of Georgia as well as seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers: Leo (Janice), Jerome (Darlene) and sister, Jeanette Boll.
Leonard will be laid to rest with private family services at Holy Cross Cemetery in Milwaukee.
