Lois Cain

Lois L. Cain, age 75 of Montello passed away unexpectedly early Thursday morning, October 23, 2014 at St. Clare Hospital in Baraboo. Lois was born in the town of Buffalo, Marquette County on January 23, 1939 to Charles and Aileen (Ashley) Kratz Sr. She was happily married to Merle Cain since August 4, 1980 and he preceded her in death on October 13, 2010. Lois enjoyed playing bingo, going to the casino and her beloved dog, Spike. She loved her family very much and enjoyed spending time with children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Lois will be remembered as a very giving and selfless person and she will be greatly missed. Lois is survived by her five children: Rhonda (Patrick) Gaither of Montello, Julie (Dennis) Pederson of Dalton, Keith (Mary) Johnson, Joann Pafford and Kurt Johnson all of Montello. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren: Amy, Mercedes, Eric, Stephanie, Wendy, Michael, Neil, Joshua, Janina, Coreena, Kurt and Brandon as well as fourteen great-grandchildren. She is further survived by three brothers: Willis (Karen), Jerry and Frank, two sisters-in-law: Virginia and Barb as well as many nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins and friends. Lois is preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers: Fred (Patsy), Harry (Lennice), Charles Jr. and Dale, sister, Charlotte (Melvin) Ingraham as well as sister-in-law, Fran. A memorial service for Lois will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at 12:00 noon at the Crawford Funeral Home of Montello. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Pastor Mark Hensley will officiate and inurnment will take place at a later date at Oakhill Cemetery, town of Packwaukee.
