Lois Simon

Lois A. Simon, age 71 of Montello passed away peacefully early Saturday morning, February 8, 2014 surrounded by her family at her home. Lois was born in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin on January 14, 1943 to Harold and Gladys Kittman. She graduated from Cambria High School in 1961 and married Mitchell "Mitch" Simon at the Presbyterian Church in Cambria on September 23, 1967. Together, Lois and Mitch lived in various places until settling in Montello in the early 1970's. Lois work for the Fox River Coop (what is now the Mobil Station) for many years. She was an active member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Montello and also was a member of the Ladies Aid. Lois also enjoyed camping and cooking. Lois leaves behind her husband of 46 years, Mitch and their son, Michael (fiancAC. Kristin Lamprecht) of St. Paul, MN. She is further survived by her brother, Harold (Judy) Kittman Jr. of Zapata, TX, sister-in-law, Jan (Steve) Rabehl of Fox Lake as well as other relatives and friends. Lois is preceded in death by her parents. A memorial service for Lois will be held on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Montello. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Pastor Pete Zietlow will preside and private family inurnment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to a memorial that is being established.
