Lyle Heiling

Lyle J. Heiling, age 78, of Montello passed away early Monday morning July 19, 2010 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton, WI. He was born on January 26, 1932 in Beaver Dam, WI to Oscar and Agnes (Schultz) Heiling. Lyle graduated from Horicon High School in 1949 and married Mary Witkowski at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Waupun on September 15, 1956. Lyle valiantly served his country in the United States Air Forces from 1951 until 1955. He worked as a conductor/brakeman for the Milwaukee Railroad as well as a culligan man. Lyle was a former Montello and Princeton businessman and past president of the Buffalo Lake Association. He was a man of many talents; he enjoyed the company of others, loved polka music and will always be remembered for his fun loving and easy going personality. Lyle leaves behind his wife Mary of almost 55 years, five children: Susan (Charlie Kirchberg) Heiling of Minn. Jct., Cynthia 'CynLou' (Joseph Beckman) of Burnett, Andrew Heiling of Montello, Pete (Sheryl) Heiling of Princeton and Ann (Michael) Cundy of Horicon. Thirteen grandchildren: Nicole (Beau), Nathan (Melissa), Rachel (Paul), Ryan, Joseph, Danielle (Tony Albriecht), Jason (Kim), Stacey (Russ), Eric (Rachel), Michael, Justin, Jacques and Sammy. Sixteen great-grandchildren: Mike, Justin, Mason, Nicholas, Mary, Jacob, Jersey, Alissa, Aubrey, Evan, Ella, Emery, Addie, Ethan, Lettie and Colton. Lyle is also survived by one sister, Rose (Charles) Weiland and many other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and dear friends. Lyle is preceded in death by: his parents, son, John and infant brother, William. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, July 22, 2010 at 12:00 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Montello with Father Michael Richel officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of service. Full military honors will be performed by Legion Post 351 at the church following the service. Burial will take place at St. Malachy Catholic Cemetery in Horicon, WI on Friday 11:00 a.m.
