Margaret Laue

Margaret "Margie" Laue, age 73 of Oxford left this world to be with her Lord and Savior, Tuesday evening March 11, 2014 from Divine Savior Hospital in Portage. Margie was born in Sheboygan to Eli and Amiee (Manteufel) Sorensen on July 29, 1940. She grew up in Oxford, graduated from Oxford High School and furthered her education at the Columbia College of Nursing in Milwaukee. After graduating in 1961, Margie worked for the Waukesha Memorial Hospital for her entire career. She married James Laue in April of 1986 and together they moved back to her family farm in rural Oxford upon retirement. Margie was a generous and loving person; having always been a care giver she enjoyed taking her time to help others. She spent countless hours as a Bible School and Awana teacher as a very devoted member of the Oxford Bible Church. She was an avid sports fan and also enjoyed baking, cooking and spending time in her garden. Margie loved being able to return to Oxford in her later years and the many memories she made at her family farm will be cherished forever. Margie leaves behind her husband, James and five step-children: Scott (Jane) Laue, Debbie (Roger) Mroczenski, Dawn (Robert) Ogrezovich, Todd (Jodi) Laue and Shari Laue as well as her two children: Corey (Moon) Glienke and Carrie Stewart. She is further survived by nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, sister, Karen Sorensen and uncle, Howard Gaffney. Margie is preceded in death by her parents and infant brother, Truman. A funeral service for Margie will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Oxford Bible Church. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. unit the hour of service. Pastor Donald Wedel will officiate and burial will follow at the Oxford Village Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Oxford Bible Church, 547 W. Ormsby, Oxford, WI 53952.
