Margaret Stajszczak

Margaret “Marge” Louise Stajszczak, age 78 of Ripon (formerly of Montello) passed away Monday, March 18, 2024 at her home.  Marge was born in Chicago on March 29, 1945 to Clarence and Theresa (Ventrice) Cox.  She graduated from Lindberg High School and married Richard “Rich” Stajszczak on September 15, 1973 at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Chicago and together they worked and lived in the Chicago area until retiring to Lake Puckaway in 1988.  Rich preceded Marge in death on February 19, 2017 and Marge moved to Ripon to be closer to family.

Marge enjoyed starting her day with a hot cup of black coffee and ending it with her nightly bible devotionals. She loved a good cannoli and talking about her '67 red mustang, driving around with her sister Rose, with the convertible top down and heat turned way UP! She always had time for her grandchildren, watching them after school or for overnight slumber parties, where the rule was Nana said I could have it. There were lots of laughs playing bunco with a group of ladies and a yearly camping trip with her children and grandchildren. She would always have a smile and a sassy comeback to any joke. 

Marge is survived by two daughters: Angela (Douglas) Roosevelt of Bloomington, IL and Maria (Eric) Feider of Ripon, WI as well as five grandchildren: Marissa, Rachel, William, Benjamin and Isabella.  She is further survived by two sisters-in-law: Shirley and Loretta Cox and other extended family members.

Marge is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Rich, siblings: William Cox, Clarence Cox, Bertha (Leonard) Reinhart and Rosemarie (Norman) Bastien.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Margaret Stajszczak will be held on Friday, March 22, 2024 at noon at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Montello.  Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the hour of mass.  Father Savio Yerasani will preside and burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
