Marlena Titschler

June 16, 1964 — August 6, 2013

Marlena "Marti" Titschler, age 49 of Oxford passed away early Tuesday morning, August 6, 2013 at her home following a lengthy battle with cancer. Marti was born in Martinez, California to Marvin and Lodean (Hartley) Spencer. She later married Paul Titschler in Oxford on Memorial Day Weekend in 2006.

Marti worked as a cook and waitress at many of the local establishments and most recently for Brakebush Bros. as a machine operator. She loved to read, bake, camp and spend time with her animals. Marti also enjoyed gardening and riding with Paul on their Harley Davidson Motorcycles. Her family was very important to her and her infectious smile and wonderful personality warmed the hearts of many. She will be greatly missed. Marti is survived by her husband, Paul and her five children: Eric Hensley of Boscobel, Tori (Steve) Griffey of Portage, Hannah Skowronek of Portage, Jay Scott Jr. of Menomonie and Paula Titschler of Portage as well as numerous grandchildren. She is also survived by her mother, Lodean (Joe) McFarland of Endeavor and three siblings: Velita Denham, Kathlena Spencer and Roy Spencer. Marti is further survived by her niece and nephew, Vanessa and Shane Kranz. Marti is preceded in death by her father and her son, William "Willie" Titschler. A Celebration of Life Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2013 from 2:00 until 5:00 p.m. at the Crawford Funeral Home in Oxford (formerly the Oxford Funeral Home). No formal service will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family.
