Matthew Morey

Matthew "Matt" Morey, age 35 of Oxford died unexpectedly Saturday, August 3, 2013 at his home. Matt was born in Thornton, Colorado on September 15, 1977. He attended ITT Technical College and earned a degree in graphic design. Matt was a gifted artist and a wonderful uncle to his nephews. He enjoyed fishing, animals and doing yard work. He also loved to cook and though he left us too soon, Matt's witty sense of humor and his genuine, kind-hearted personality won't be forgotten. Matt is survived by his mother, Paula (Al Rogers) Morey of Oxford, father, Darrell Madsen of Limon, CO, brother, Daniel (Brandy) Morey of Reedsberg and two very special nephews: Konri and Aloysuis. He is further survived by his maternal grandmother, Virginia Morey of Oxford, aunt, Deanna (Leonard) Raanes of Montello and great-aunt, Jean Dilley of Oxford and cousins: Adam and Ashley Raanes and Vernon Paul Morey. Matt is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Vernon Morey, uncle, Butch Morey and great-uncle, Theodore. Private family services will be held at a later date.
