Norma Ambrosich

Norma Lumblo Ambrosich, age 80 of Montello passed away peacefully at the Montello Care Center early Saturday morning, November 26, 2011. Norma was born on June 3, 1931 in the Town of Deerfield, Waushara County to Elmer and Violet (King) Hansel. She was a 1950 graduate of Wautoma High School and furthered her education to become a teacher at the Waushara County Normal School and also UW-Oshkosh. On June 17, 1961 she married Fred Lumblo and he preceded her in death in April of 1975; she later married La Verne Ambrosich in August of 1977 and he also preceded her in death in September of 2001. Norma was a very dedicated teacher, she taught for over 35 years with the majority of time spent teaching 3rd grade for the Westfield School District. She also enjoyed traveling, gardening and spending time with her family. Norma also attended St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Montello where she built many strong friendships while serving as a member of St. Ann's Circle and on other various committees. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Norma is survived by two children: Joanne (Dave) Valentine of South Dakota and Pat (DuWayne) Sommerfeld of Montello as well as two siblings: Harley (Betty) Hansel and Alvin Schultz both of Portage. She is also survived by four grandchildren: Stephanie (Scott), Scott, Erika, Jody (Matt) and five great-grandchildren: Gregory, Halee, Kaylea, Mason and Braden. Norma is further survived by sister-in-law, Phyllis Hansel of Westfield and other family members and many dear friends. Norma is preceded in death by her two husbands: Fred and La Verne as well as one brother, Elmer Hansel Jr., and sister-in-law, Karen Schultz. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Montello with Father Michael Richel officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Following the traditional service Norma will be cremated and inurnment will take place at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Montello at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to The Budda-Box Fight Against Cancer, P.O. Box 91, Westfield, WI 53964. Crawford Funeral Home of Montello is serving the family. www.CrawfordFH.com
