Patricia Duffy

Patricia 'Pat' Duffy, age 83, of Montello passed away peacefully on Saturday May 29, 2010 at the Hospice House of Home Health United in Baraboo. She was born on July 29, 1926 in Milwaukee to Earl and Ruth Ellen (Reardon) Bowers. Pat lived in Milwaukee until August 16, 1952 when she married Earl Duffy at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Montello. The big city girl marries the farmer's son, in the early years of their marriage they lived the farm life, and in 1962 they moved into the city of Montello where they raised their four children. Some of Pat's interests included: reading, sewing and fishing. She had a wonderful witty sense of humor and enjoyed spending time with her family. A lifelong member of the Montello community; her friends and family will all remember her for the fun times they had at the backyard barbeques and holiday gatherings. Pat leaves behind four children: William (Cathy) of Deforest, Margaret (Michael) Smith of Montello, Timothy (Karen) of Poynette and Brian (Laureen McHugh) of Montello/Oxford. She is also survived by seven grandchildren: Sean (Lisa) Smith, Steven (fianci�½e Jessica Benedict) Smith, Brandon (Susan Beck) Duffy, Mark Duffy, Erin (John) Kreger, Tyler Duffy and Bryce Duffy. She is further survived by five great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends. She will be deeply missed. Preceding Pat in death are her parents, husband and infant son, Mark. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on the Friday June 4, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Montello with Father Michael Richel officiating. A visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of service. Inurnment will follow at St. Andrew Cemetery, Buffalo Township. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Hospice House of Home Health United, 915 12th St., Baraboo, WI 53913.
