Patti Wakerhauser

Patti Carol Wakerhauser, age 67 of Montello passed away Sunday, February 25, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family. Patti was born in Madison on August 30, 1956 to Jack and June (Hohlstein) Weaver. She attended Montello Schools and married Larry Wakerhauser at St. John's Lutheran Church in Portage on May 7, 1982. Together they were blessed with two children.

Patti was a caring wife, loving mother and a doting grandma, she was always a very caring and understanding person. She made a career out of helping special needs children for both the Montello and Portage School Districts, she also worked many years at the Wilderness Campground in Montello. Patti enjoyed crafting, duck boat rides, spending time in her beautiful flower garden, camping, being with her husband and loved ones and always looked forward to traveling with her daughter’s family. She was a faithful woman and enjoyed attending church each Sunday. 

Patti is survived by her husband, Larry of 42 years and two children, Adam of Montello and Ashley (Brad) Wagner of Wisconsin Dells as well as two very important grandchildren: Neil and Emma, to which she was most affectionately known as Grams.  She is also survived by her siblings: Jeanie Kast, Dale Weaver Sr., Cindy (Larry) Messer and Wanda Weaver along with many nieces, nephews and other extended family members.

Patti is preceded in death by her parents, brother, Gary, infant sister, Tawn and nephew, Dylan.

A funeral service for Patti Wakerhauser will be held on Friday, March 1, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Marquette Community Church in Montello. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until the hour of service.  Rev. Dave Bosshard will preside and inurnment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to the family.
