Peggy Krueger

Peggy Lynn Krueger, age 69 of Adams passed away Sunday, March 3, 2024 at UW Hospital in Madison.  Peggy was born in Portage on January 1, 1955 to Calvin and Dorothy (Gibbons) Winchester.  She attended Adams Schools and married Ray Alderman; together they had one son and later divorced.  Peggy married James “Jim” Krueger on April 14, 1990 and together they have resided in Adams ever since. 

Peggy operated a group home for handicapped individuals for several years until her health wouldn’t allow it.  She enjoyed fishing, bingo, playing pool, trips to the casino and most of all she enjoyed spending time in her garden.  Peggy had a great smile and she will be remembered for her sense of humor.

Peggy is survived by her husband of almost 34 years, Jim and her son, Eric Alderman as well as three stepchildren: Michelle (Bryan) Anderson, Mike (Jan) Krueger and Melissa (Tom) Bagley.  She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren along with siblings: Arlene Pozdolski, Gary (Debbie) Winchester, Sally (Ralph) Cavanaugh, Tammy (Dave) Albright, Danny Winchester, Lisa (Gary) Cavanaugh, Shianna Smith and many other extended family members.  

Peggy is preceded in death by her parents, two sisters: Debbie Winchester and Crystal Winchester and brother-in-law, Tony Smith. 

A funeral service for Peggy Krueger will be held on Friday, March 8, 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Crawford Funeral Home in Oxford.  Visitation will be held from 11:30 AM until the hour of service.  Pastor Tom Caflisch will preside and inurnment will be private.
