Robert "Bob" W. Kaenel, age 85, of Montello passed away Tuesday morning, May 10, 2016 at Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah. Bob was born in Forest Park, IL on March 27, 1931 to Albert and Myrtle (Fuller) Kaenel. He married Muriel Connelly on December 10, 1947 in Missouri. Together they moved to Montello in 1970; Muriel preceded Bob in death on October 16, 2014. Bob enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed his numerous trips to the casino. Bob's sense of humor and charming personality will be greatly missed.
Bob is survived by his sons: Robert J (Ruby) and William P (Rhonda) and daughter, Mary (Keith) Johnson all of Montello as well as grandchildren: Robert John (Shannon) Kaenel of Wautoma, Steven Miner of St. Petersburg, Florida, Christopher Hooper of Phoenix, Arizona, Melissa (William) Viken of Deerfield, Denise (Stephen) LaSure of Deerfield, Jacob (Jennifer), Neil (Carrie) Johnson, Joshua (Kelly Jo), Travis, Teale, and Thomas all of Montello. He is also survived by twenty-two great-grandchildren, many great-great-grandchildren and siblings: Albert "Benny" (Elsie), Theresa Kaenel and Jeanie Gorenson all of Illinois and Mary Jane (Dick) Powell of Arizona. Bob is further survived by other extended family members and friends.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter, Laura Claudia Kaenel, granddaughter, Sharon Lynn Kater and two brothers: Kenneth and Richard.
