Ronald Heilmeier

Ronald “Ron” L. Heilmeier, age 88 of Green Lake (formerly of Lake Puckaway) passed away Sunday, July 30, 2023 at his home.  Ron was born on August 20, 1934 to William and Mae (Mader) Heilmeier in Kekoskee, Wisconsin.  He served his country as a member of the of the United States Army and on May 23, 1959 was united in marriage to Corinne Ruhland in the Town of LeRoy, Dodge County.  Together they were blessed with five children.

Ron was a farmer in his younger years in Dodge County and from 1977-1996 he owned and operated Heilmeier’s Country Store in Montello.  He enjoyed fishing, music and “occasional” trip to the casino.  Ron’s family was very important to him and he was also a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Montello. 

Ron is survived by his wife of 64 years, Corinne, daughter, Sharon Buchholz of Ripon and son, Robert (Becky) of Westfield.  He is also survived by five grandchildren: Jamie, Michael, Steven, Kayla and Hailey and ten great-grandchildren as well as his brother, Gerald and sister, Marliss Bord along with other extended family members.

Ron is preceded in death by his parents and three children: Steven Heilmeier, Linda Hansen and Susan Bauknecht.

Honoring Ron’s wishes, he will be laid to rest privately at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Montello.
