Rosa (Kruger) Haskett

Rosa Bonoehr (Kruger) Haskett , 77, passed away in Oxford on Monday, October 29th, 2018. She was born March 24, 1941 to Alvin “Kie” and Alta (Fuhrmann) Kruger in Oxford. She was raised on a farm in the Westfield area and graduated from Westfield High School in 1959.  She also lived in Neenah and Westfield for several years and then moved to Oxford a few years ago.  She made friends wherever she went and was known for her quick wit and ready smile.

Rosa held several jobs including: nanny, seamstress, telephone operator and school bus driver.  She was a member of the Davis Corners United Methodist Church. Rosa sewed throughout her life and enjoyed making homemade things for her kids and friends.  She made several beautiful wedding dresses including her own and her daughters, and many many bridesmaids’ dresses.  Rosa remodeled homes and could figure out just about anything. She loved dancing, playing cards, growing flowers and making others happy!

She is survived by her four children: Dan (Melissa) Eggleston of Minot, ND, Ken (Cindy) Eggleston of Burlington, ND, P. Penny Eggleston (Jay) Hartman of Green Bay and Shelleen Kruger of Appleton. Grandchildren include: Amanda, Shelby, Scott, Ashley, Alex, Elston, Zona, Reno and Q.  She is further survived by a brother, Neil (Pat) Kruger and a sister, Joan (Norman) Ingraham all of Westfield as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family.  Rosa is preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Dean and two sisters: Fae and Maizie.

A Celebration of Rosa’s Life will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Davis Corners United Methodist Church, 606 County Road I, Wisconsin Dells, WI 53965.   Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the hour of service.  Pastor Lee Bushweiler will preside and private family inurnment will take place at later date.

Special thanks to her dear friend Nancy and daughter Kelly who welcomed her into their home and cared for her during the final days of her life.  And thank you also to all the fine folks at Heartland Hospice.
