Samantha “Sam” Adair Shultz, age 32, of Ripon passed away the morning of Saturday September 27, 2025 in an automobile accident. Sam was born in Fond Du Lac on September 23, 1993 to Patrick “PJ” and Angela (nee Scharenberg) Shultz. Sam grew up at White Lake, and a part of her heart is always there. She graduated from Ripon High School in 2012, and went on to earn her degree in Early Childhood Education from Moraine Park. She was a teacher, an organizer, and a perfectionist.
Sam was a young woman full of life and passion. She loved fiercely, and cared deeply–for her family, friends, cats, and any child she came in contact with, especially babies. Sam was someone that you were lucky to have in your corner, and fought for and protected her own with stubborn intensity. She was fearless, rebellious and adventurous but also nurturing, thoughtful and generous.
Sam was a person who valued her family, friends, and relationships far beyond anything else.
She loved Taylor Swift, the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers, gaming with her brother Patrick, playing cards with her Grandparents, floating on the river with friends, meeting friends for darts or bags league (especially when she won). She loved snowmobiling, cooking, decorating her home for the holidays, Door County, and dressing her cats in cute outfits. Sam loved to be the life of the party, and to see people happy.
Sam is survived by her mother and stepfather, Angela and Jeff Davis of Montello, father and stepmother, Patrick “PJ” and Sarah Shultz of Madison, and brother, Patrick Shultz of Madison. She is also survived by her maternal grandmother, Barbara Scharenberg of Montello, step-siblings: Audrey (Peter) Mera. Emily, and Erin (Zach) Davis, her partner, Scottie Doerr, nephew, Henry, niece, Sadie, other extended family members, and countless friends.
Sam is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Herbert “Snooky” Scharenberg and paternal grandparents: Dennis and Robin Shultz.
Sam lived her life the way she wanted to live it. She lived loudly. She lived in bright colors, strong feelings, and bold choices. She felt deeply. She loved deeper still. She lived her way, always 100% Sam.
