Scott Ditsworth

July 9, 1963 — January 18, 2015

Scott Gerard Ditsworth, age 51 died quietly in his home in Montello, Wisconsin, on Sunday, January 18, 2015 from causes unknown. His body was donated for science to the University of Wisconsin. There will be no memorial service at this time. The family will have a private service in the spring where the ashes will be scattered as that was Scott's favorite time of year and a special reading in August at the Howe family reunion. Moving with his family several times, Scott graduated from Kennedy High School, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He worked for Motorola and later became an automobile mechanic in Illinois until he became disabled and moved to Montello with his parents in 2008. Scott is preceded in death by his finance, he never married nor had any children. A devoted son and uncle to his two nieces and nephew, the children of his brother, Todd, he enjoyed NASCAR and helping repair cars for his friends and caring for his parent's summer home He is also survived by his parents, Dick and Sharon Ditsworth, Brackettville, Texas, his aunt, Ja Ja Howe and extended family of Madison, brother, Todd and family of West Chicago, IL as well as special cousin, Barbara Johnson of California along with other family throughout the U.S. He rescued dogs and leaves behind the star of the family, Chance. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be given to: Eyes of Hope Shelter, N3265 1st Drive Oxford, WI 53952. We are going to miss you Scott. It wasn't always a smooth ride but you did your best & your courage and faith set an example for us all.
