Stacy Marie Weisensel, age 40 of Montello passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, May 30, 2024 at St. Clare Hospital in Baraboo following a courageous battle with cancer.  Stacy was born in Beaver Dam on March 25, 1984 to Delbert and Elaine (Steuck) Desjarlais. She was a member of the graduating class of 2002 from Columbus High School and married her high school sweetheart, Joshua Weisensel, on May 14, 2005 in Columbus. They moved to the Montello area in October 2004 and they were blessed with two beautiful daughters.

In High School, Stacy was a straight A student that enjoyed playing tennis and went on to win state.  She was a pharmaceutical technician most recently employed by Navitus. She enjoyed the outdoors and loved spending time with her family. Stacy spent every minute possible with her girls and supporting them in all their activities including ballet, gymnastics, softball, basketball, cross country, track, choir and band. She had a love for nature in every way.  She enjoyed cutting through the crisp countryside on her snowmobile, riding dirt covered trails on her side by side, boating on a beautiful sunny day, spending time at the Accola family cabin in Ojibwa, WI as well as at our family cabin in the U.P. of Michigan, camping, hiking to waterfalls, national parks, visiting the ocean, including many family trips with our most recent trip to Disney World.

Stacy leaves behind her husband, Joshua and two daughters: Makaila (12) and Ashlyn (9) as well as her mother-in-law, Ellen Weisensel, father-in-law, Kevin (Nancy) Weisensel, sister-in-law, Tia (Michael) Barrett, parents: Delbert and Elaine Desjarlais, and sister, Tiffany (Phillip) Wuesthoff.
