Steven Mack

Steven “Steve” Charles Mack, age 65 of Montello (formerly of Waukesha) passed away peacefully Sunday, September 24, 2023 at UW Hospital in Madison. Steve was born in Gresham, WI on September 9, 1958 to Clarence and Carolyn (St. Clair) Mack.  He graduated from Waukesha North High School and furthered his education at WCTC. Steve married Kimberly Norby and together they were blessed with three children and later divorced.

He was employed as a union carpenter with Local 344 in Milwaukee, relocated to Montello in 2015 eventually retiring in 2020. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed time with family, friends, and his beloved dog, Pickles. Steve was known for his kind heart, warm smile, and contagious laughter. He continued giving as an organ and tissue donor.  Steve will be dearly missed by all who knew him. 

Steve is survived by his daughter, Toni Mack Brookshire of Greenville, SC and son, Ryan (Autumn) of Milwaukee as well as granddaughter, Christian and grandson, Lincoln.  He is also survived by his partner, Nancy Kubik, sister, Beth Mack, brother, Marcus (Shelley), brother-in-law, Gary Edwardsen as well as several loving nieces, nephews and other extended family members.

Steve is preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Stephanie Mack, granddaughter, Olivia Swartzmiller, sister, Kristen Edwardsen, and nephew, Ian Mack.

A memorial visitation for Steve Mack will be held from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at the Crawford Funeral Home in Montello on Thursday, September 28, 2023.  There will not be a formal service. He will be inurned with private family services at a later date at Prairie Home Cemetery in Waukesha.

In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred in honor of Steve’s late daughter, Stephanie Mack, to NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness), P.O. Box 49104, Baltimore, MD 21297.
