Susan Lewis

Susan Melinda Lewis, loving wife, mother and grandmother passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at the age of 73.  Susan was born in Portage on April 2, 1951 to James and Marian (Scherbert) Robinson.   She began her education in the Portage Schools and graduated from high school in Green Bay.  Susan was united in marriage to Charles “Rich” Lewis on August 23, 1975 at Durward’s Glen outside of Portage.  They lived in the Madison area before settling in Brooklyn and moved to Montello in 2015.  Susan loved Charles and her two boys with all her heart.  

Susan was a very caring person and it showed during her long career as a teacher’s aide as well as helping individuals with special needs.  In her spare time, she enjoyed camping, her dogs and most of all spending time with her grandchildren.  Susan will be remembered for how her face would light up when her family was around and her funny sense of humor with her husband.  

Susan leaves behind her husband of 48 years, Rich and son, Kevin (Tara) of Menomonee Falls as well as five grandchildren:  Jayce, Madalyn, Fayth, Olyvia and Alyse.  She is also survived by siblings: Barbara Selbach, Patricia Philipp and J.C. (Dawn) Robinison along with other extended family members.

Susan is preceded in death by her parents, son, Jason, sister, Judith Robinson and brother-in-law: Clayton Selbach.

Honoring Susan’s wishes, services for her family and close friends will be held privately.
