Terry Allen Coyle Jr., age 34 of Montello passed away Monday, September 11, 2023 at UW Hospital in Madison. Terry was born on July 26, 1989 to Terry Sr. and Holly (Kerl) Coyle in Berlin. Terry was born with muscular dystrophy, but it did not stop him from leading a full life. He graduated from Montello High School in 2008. Terry was a very caring and giving person always putting the needs of others before his own, giving to several different charities. He was a serious gamer, enjoyed football, music and nascar racing. Terry had a huge love for the outdoors, he earned an award during his time in Hunter’s Safety for his determination and he was proud to be the first person to harvest an elk in Wisconsin in over 100 years. Terry had a huge heart and will be remembered for inspiring people’s lives.
Terry leaves behind his loving parents, Terry Sr. and Holly of Montello, brother, Benjamin (Haley) of Rock Falls and sister, Michelle (fiancé Michael) Petersen of Montello. He is also survived by his nephew, Matthew, niece, Kaylee, maternal grandmother, Geraldine Kerl, paternal grandmother, Eunice Coyle as well as aunts, uncles and other extended family members. Terry is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Ronald Kerl, paternal grandfather, William Coyle and his favorite family dog, Bo.
A memorial service for Terry Coyle Jr. will be held on Sunday, September 17, 2023 at 2:00 PM at the Crawford Funeral Home in Montello. Visitation will be held from 12:00 Noon until the hour of service. Pastor George Noll will preside and private family inurnment will take place at a later date at the Lyndon Cemetery, Lyndon Station. In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to the family for a memorial that will be established in Terry’s name.
