Trude Schwartz

Trude E. Schwartz, age 67 of Madison and formerly of Montello passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at her home in Madison. She was born on April 21, 1947 to Leo and Gertrude (Thill) Schwartz in Ripon, Wisconsin. Trude graduated from Montello High School in 1965 and has worked ever since for UW-Wisconsin Madison at Bascom Hall in the Accounting Department. Trude loved to read and travel to the Carribean. She liked to watch movies with her family and was an avid seamstress. Even though she didn't have any children of her own, she cherished the time she spent with her nieces and nephews. Trude is survived by her sister, Kathleen (Michael) Brown of Oxford and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, San Juanita Schwartz of Princeton as well as many friends and co-workers. Trude is preceded in death by her parents and two siblings: Barbara E. Shields and Lee Schwartz. A funeral service for Trude will be held on Monday, May 12, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Crawford Funeral Home in Montello. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of service. Pastor Stephen Bowie will officiate and burial will follow the service at Greenwood Cemetery, town of Buffalo, Marquette County. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family.
