Valerie Miller

Valerie Miller, age 71 of Montello passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Saturday evening, October 5, 2013 at the Columbia Health Care Center in Wyocena. Valerie was born in Mornoe, Wisconsin to Glen and Velma Olson on October 13, 1941. She completed 3 years at Columbus Academy and obtained her degree in Art. On July 9, 1960 she married Larry Rose in Boscobel and from that union came six children. She later married Wayne Miller on December 23, 1973; he preceded her in death in August of 1987. Valerie worked as a nurse's aid and also for the Milwaukee Valve Company. Her hobbies included: watching television, writing poetry, reading books as well as crafting. Valerie and her sister, Judy played guitar and sang together as "The Country Sisters Band." Survivors include her six children: Terry Rose of Madison, Todd Rose of Boscobel, Tracy (Amanda) Rose of Sauk City, Troy Rose of Pardeeville, Donnie Rose of Pardeeville and Koreen (John) Holland of Pardeeville as well as eleven grandchildren: Kyle, Danielle, Justin, Stephanie, Timothy, Joey, Tabatha, Brockton, Tommy, Jessica and Andrew. Valerie is also survived by five great-grandchildren and two sisters: Judith Timmerman of Pardeeville and Francine Pulvermacher of Sauk City. She is further survived by many other relatives and friends. Valerie is preceded in death by her parents, husband and great-granddaughter, Jennifer Kelly. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 11, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Montello. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of service. Father David Carrano will preside and burial will take place at 1:30 p.m. on Friday at the Pardeeville Cemetery, Pardeeville, WI.
