Vicki Davis

Vicki Ellen Davis, age 73 of Shakopee, MN (formerly of Montello and Arkdale) passed away peacefully Sunday, August 4, 2024 at St. Gertrude’s Health Center in Shakopee. Vicki was born on September 22, 1950 in Portage to Paul and Agnes (Radke) Zacharias. She attended Montello Schools and married Jim Quinn. Together they were married for 25 years and raised four children and later divorced. She later married Jim Davis and they lived near Arkdale until his passing in March of 2016; she recently moved to Shakopee to be closer to family.

Vicki enjoyed playing bingo and had an extensive collection of frogs and pewter figurines. Earlier in her life she was an avid bowler. She worked for many years as a CNA at various nursing homes. Vicki was a very caring person and made it a point to be present in her grandchildren’s lives; she loved to spend time with them. Vicki looked forward to going for lunch at the Chinese Buffet and will be remembered for her love for her family, especially her grandchildren.

Vicki is survived by three children: Michael (Kari) Quinn of Carver, MN, Amanda Zelazoski of Wisconsin Rapids, Nathan (Liz) Quinn of Pittsburgh, PA and as well as eight grandchildren: Katelyn, Michael, Heaven, Zoe, Grayson, Logan, Ian and Ryan. She is also survived by her sister, Marilyn Riemer along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

Vicki is preceded in death by her parents: Paul and Agnes Zacharias, husband, Jim Davis, son, Mark Quinn, granddaughter, Alivia Quinn, brothers: Roland “Sonny” Zacharias and Raymond Zacharias and two nephews: Randy and Barry Zacharias. 

A memorial service for Vicki Davis will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Montello. Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until the hour of service. Pastor Pete Zietlow will preside and inurnment will follow the service at the Montello Eastside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to the family for a memorial that will be established in Vicki’s name.
