Virginia Morey

Virginia Pauline Morey, age 78 of Oxford passed away Monday, July 10, 2017 at Divine Savior Hospital in Portage with her daughter by her side. Virginia was born in Denver, Colorado on July 20, 1938 to Cecil and Arminda (Lambert) Borough. She married Vernon Morey on May 21, 1954 and they lived their life together in Colorado. Virginia enjoyed cooking, shopping and caring for her family. She also had a key role in the family business of painting and wallpapering both private homes and nursing homes. Vernon passed away in 2001 and after vacationing in Wisconsin, Virginia and her family decided to relocate to Montello and later to the Oxford area. Virginia is survived by her daughters: Paula (Al Rogers) Morey of Oxford and Deanna (Leonard) Raanes of Montello and grandchildren: Daniel (Brandy) Morey, Adam and Ashley (Bret Morgan) Raanes and Vernon Paul Morey. She is also survived by great-grandchildren: Konri and Aloysuis and siblings: Jean Dilley, Cecil (Tucky) Borough Jr., as well as other extended family members. Virginia is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Vernon, son, Butch, grandson, Matthew and brother-in-law, Theodore Dilley. Private family services will be held at a later date and Virginia will be laid to rest in Elmwood Cemetery, Brighton, CO.
